Cuir Souterrain

There is a Paris that never meets the light.

Beneath the rhythm of footsteps and café chairs, below the polite geometry of boulevards, lies a quieter world - one of stone corridors, sealed doors and air that carries memory rather than sound. It is here that Cuir Souterrain finds its voice.

The fragrance opens with a sharp glint of bergamot, cut through with the dry warmth of cinnamon; a fleeting brightness, like the last trace of daylight before descent. Almost immediately, the scent deepens. Leather and oud emerge, slow and deliberate, rich with texture and shadow. They do not announce themselves; they settle, like something long established.

As it unfolds, a softer heart reveals itself - rose and lavender, restrained and composed, touched with oakmoss. These are not garden florals, but echoes. The kind that linger in enclosed spaces, worn into the air over time.

At its base, labdanum and balsamic resins gather, darkening the composition. The leather becomes deeper, more intimate, carrying a quiet intensity that feels both ancient and personal. There is a stillness to it. It is a sense of being surrounded, rather than simply scented.

This is not a fragrance that projects. It remains close, discovered rather than declared.

A solid cologne designed for deliberate moments. It is applied at the wrist, the neck, the pause between one place and another.

Cuir Souterrain is not worn in the open.
It is carried beneath the surface.

  • Solid fragrance is a concentrated, wax-based perfume that is applied directly to the skin. Unlike liquid sprays, it is intimate, portable and allows for precise application without a cloud of alcohol.

    How to Apply

    • Warm the Product: Gently swirl your finger over the surface of the balm. The heat from your skin will soften the waxes and release the essential oils.

    • Target Pulse Points: Dab the fragrance onto areas where your blood vessels are closest to the skin. The natural warmth of these spots helps "throw" the scent as you move.

      • Wrists

      • Neck and behind the ears

      • Inside of the elbows

    • Layer or Reapply: Because solid perfumes are often more subtle, you can swipe them on multiple times throughout the day or layer them over a matching lotion to make the scent last longer.

    Pro-Tips for Best Results

    • Avoid Rubbing: Don't rub your wrists together aggressively; this can "crush" the lighter top notes and change how the scent develops.

    • Hair Application: For a long-lasting scent trail, try smoothing a tiny amount over the ends of your hair.

    • Storage: Keep your tin in a cool, dry place. Extreme heat can melt the wax and cause the oils to separate or degrade.
